Prehistoric Archery and Atlatle event September 1st & 2nd

Flag Fen Bronze age museum is hosting a primitive weapons weekend on 1st & 2nd September.

On Saturday there will be have-a-gos, demonstrations and show and tells and on Sunday we have an International Spearthrowing Accuracy Competirtions and Archery event. If you want to have a go at the ISAC and haven't got a thrower there will be some you can borrow. Although the idea is that we have bows that could have been made with flint tools we also accepting entries from any all wood bows with wooden/feather arrows. The archery course is not intended to be the most challenging.

There is limited camping for competitors.

We intend to make an offering at the mere at the end of the archery event so bring a wooden arrow that you are not too worried about losing..

That includes museum entry.

We have invited some traditional craftsmen (brain tanner, basket maker etc) but they are not confirmed.

thats a shame that clashes with the Wilderness Gathering would have been interested in coming to watch otherwise.
