Back from the trossachs, St Kentigerns Fathers (closed now)bridge is closed for new walls. Local solution shift the cones drive slowly through the scaffolding. Few cleggs about wet field scorching hot dacha dry after all that rainfall. The burn i use to play in is deeper now due to excess water draining off the field.

Took my grandson and SWMBO with the dogs to some woods in the Campsies. Within 10 mins Zak (20 months) decided he should lie in the puddles like Domino, our spaniel. I told his mum he needs waterproof trousers, not jeans from next - did she listen?

Lake District. I love the Lake District. It'd be a lot easier to cross though if those hills were'nt in the way.

Late yesterday afternoon - a gentle walk around Swinsty Reservoir with my wife and younger daughter. Very pleasant indeed. No pics, I'm afraid.

Best Wishes

Lodestar festival here in Cambridgeshire. My wife was trading so we had a few nights glamping. Air bed in the marquee but foraging for food was easy. The music was fantastic. Saw Bob Geldof who was just awesome a real pro.

I took a few hours off and went to the 'Garden of Ireland', Co. Wicklow. Up through Cloon forest before emerging out onto the mountain top commonly known as Prince Williams Seat, which is also an ancient cairn (now sadly destroyed). Famed for it's panoramic views, I was cloud dodging in order not to get lost that day.
