Have you seen this ? It mentions the Alpinist 5.Recently picked up another Alpiniste. Needs a lot of tlc but I thought it was an interesting design with the front pocket. Unsure of precise age but guessing 80's. Have been able to find absolutely zero information on this exact model online.
Yes, thank you, this Alpiniste 5 is newer than 1983, and the Alpiniste 5 in that catalogue doesn't have a front pocket.Have you seen this ? It mentions the Alpinist 5.

I'm not sure actually. I'd stuffed a 3 season sleeping bag AND a British Army Arctic 'bouncing bomb' sleeping bag in to take the photos. They filled the main compartment to normal level but it does have an extendable main compartment and the straps for lashing the hood down are mega long to accommodate the extendable main compartment. I would say it's got to be 50L, and a lot more if you extend the main compartment. What capacity is that Joe Brown?
I concurThat’s a very cool pack … the older Karrimor packs had a simplicity that was beautiful

It was a lucky find for sure. It's unused too. My son loves red so it'll be his when he's big enough to carry it loaded. That is beautiful! I love the colour. I've never found one in a charity shop, yet, and I do look when I pass them.
