OK, so this is in fact (I think) a WW1 leather ammunition pouch, but seeing as I've sold the rifle, I've no need for this either. It would make a great little possibles pouch. Two separate compartments with belt loops and a clip loop. Size is 20cm x 12cm.

Thanks for the tip on its origin - nope, I had a Lee Enfield but it was a handly little pouch for clips - had I known it was French of course...
