Poplar Ladle

[Kepis]

Whilst i was in a carving mood today http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81327, i thought id use the other half of the Poplar branch i used for the Medieval spoon to carve a small ladle.

The piece of Poplar wood i used had a small side branch which became the bowl of the ladle, with the main branch being carved down to form the handle, i still have a way to go as this it's only rough carved at the moment, i need to let the wood dry over the next few days before i can move on to the next stage and finish it off

cheers chaps, the faceted finish is not as i want it, there are still a few lumps and bumps that need taking down a bit and the lined refined a bit

Actually, it's not a carving project, certainly not as impressive as Kepis' work

Cheers Hoodoo, id love to carve Lime (Basswod) unfortunately, there is none around here at all and even the lumber supply place gave me a blank stare when i asked if they had any
