Hi All,
Plumbing into the collective wisdom here on ponchos. Just back from a wee holiday and the weather was roasting but with some thunderstorms and heavy rain. As a result am looking for a poncho, a wee brolly worked well but was only partial coverage for the both of us. Would also be useful as an impromptu picnic blanket. So what's out there? My requirements are
Lightweight - superlightweight preferably and something that packs down really small.
Looks - Not really wanting to go down the military route, wearing camo is frowned about in more than a few countries and illegal in some. Green might be ok but something else would be better
Feel - Bottom line, not a bin bag! It'll be humid as heck so something softer than plastic is a must. Understand it'll be a little clingy but that plastic bag feeling is out! Ideally a soft paramo like fabric would be ideal but see below
Price - There is a nice paramo one at £100 but a bit too much for me....
Any suggestions would be very welcome!
Cheers
Alan
