PLCE webbing help please

I have just bought some webbing and I'm unsure of the correct way to assemble it.

I have 3x utility and 2x water bottle pouches on the belt (utility,water,utility,water, utility). my question is do the pouch edges (the side edged with the "piping")need to overlap or just be side by side.

I have assembled the set with edges overlapping and when trying to add hippo belt the fastex clips appear to be situated right where the bloody pouch connectors are..

I have just spent an hour fiddling, can anyone offer some insight please?!?

cost me £60 the set(pouches/belt/yoke/hippo pad) is super-grade condition, you can pick up used sets much cheaper. I was just lucky to find this set in such good condition.

not really blacktimberwolf, he has a hippo pad on the belt which obscures the view of the pouches behind. but thank you.

I may have not answered your question having never used a pad, neither does Wifely(due to me setting her webbing up) but it may help with general setup!

Still haven't replaced the trousers you cut up to make pouches yet then ?..........Mrs. Southey doesn't look best pleased modeling the webbing,.........great photos as always though. :You_Rock_

cheers Southey thats pretty helpfull. I'm going to have another play now.
the utility strap at the back of the pouches; does that make the kit more comfortable to wear or is it purely to stop the pouches bouncing around.

both really, it pulls it slightly to stop the bouncing which makes it more comfy, also it helps it sit on your body better,

Hahahahaha the curtains were an ebay dealy to replace the standard "curtains, pattern, floral, dark" that comes with the house, Wifely volunteered , !hahah but in trying to not make silly faces she inadvertently hit the "WE ARE NOT AMUSED" button

I got the kit below from Ebay for 99p +p&P http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180717149827?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649, I also have a belt kit using either black S10 pouches and waterbottle pouches with an added roll up dump pouch, and then the good old DPM pouches added to with the bergen side pouches is a useful kit.

Also have a kit made up entirely from 58pat waterbottle pouches.
