Pistol case

I like to make boxes/crates/cases for this and that. Here the case for my air pistol:

Plywood, paracord, felt and several coats of varnish - what do you think?

Pretty nifty that. I do like boxes and crates too. Especially nice to protect your pistol from knocks and the environment. Can it be locked shut for safety?
