Pet Oak autum colours

Hi all, just thought I'd share a look at my pet Oak's, autum colours, taken this morning

picked it up as an Acorn and planted it in 1975.

picked it up as an Acorn and planted it in 1975.

It stood out as an acorn on the wood floor because it had a 1/2" white root sticking out of it,
so it ended up in my pocket and got pushed into a pot when I landed home, in 1975 so 35 ?

Hi Dave no it's a tortured species, it gets a severe pruning once a year and I've cut the main tap root off a couple of times on a re-pot.
Back about 1984 (last Stoneheng festival) I came back to find it smothered in Whitefly so it was "Pollarded" which ever since seems to give it a thick trunk.
I'm not into Bonsi or anything it's just a Pet Tree.

That is a fantastic thing, I love it. I was at Stonehenge '84 too. And 85 when we ended up at Westbury.
