Personalized Opinels for the kids

Hello folks,
thought I'd show you a couple of Opinel pocketknives I have personalized as a gift for my 2 oldest kids.
I bought 2 No'6 Opinels, sanded one down and added the names + the footprint of their favorite wild animal with a pyrogravure.

I am also in the process of making a pouch for both of the knives. Those can be carried on a belt or on a rope around the neck.

Unfortunately the leather and colour they chose made it not possible to wetform them, since the leather has already been prepared.

I finished both pouches and I wanted to share some pictures with you.

My daughter opted for a black pouch and thought blue thread would look cool!
Here they are;

I also added some leather strings, so the knives can be carried around the neck. These strings can be stuffed into the bottom of the pouch, when not needed. This way they don't get lost or damaged and the knife sits firmly in its pouch.
