I've done a search on the forums but can't find anything. Does anyone know of a wood, preferably within a 20 mile radius of Ely that can be camped in for one night?

I was born and raised a couple of miles from Ely. One thing in short supply around there are woods of any size. We lost most of the decent hedgrow trees to dutch elm diseasetoo. The best you might do is Thetford forest, which just about falls into your distance, or maybe Santon downham, near Brandon. Not sure of the legality of either site to be honest, so best chech first.

Thanks Dave, will check those out and, if they prove good for overnighting, I'll let you know. If you're ever over this way, Cheshire and North Wales, then let me know as there's a great wood here you can use.
