Now, a friend used to have a torch that clipped over the ear. He got it from TK Max, and all was fine until he accidently trod on it and it died.
I thought it was an excellent thing. Always wanted one. But when I went to TK Max, they had none.
So, does anyone know where you can get one from (in the UK)?
Cheers.

You can pick up the "Nite-Ize" version of the fore-head strap intended for the Maglite AA Minimag flashlite just about anywhere you find their flashlites. My wife and I have been using their product for years with great success.Try here:

Try Buzz Light Ear! (o:

Cheers for your help guys.
I was specifically looking for the ones that clip over the ear - like the ones suggested by Calibanzwei.
Not too keen on the ones that still have a strap around the forehead - like those suggested by Native and Jared - find the strap around the forehead uncomfortable and extremely irritating.
Cheers everyone though - I'll follow Calib's link.

I'd add my recommendation for the niteize head-band, have had one for years to use as a back-up if & when my headtorch fails.

I understand your comments about the head-band, but looking at the web-link they now do the strap in RED...

So you can now look like RAMBO !!! :lmao:

(You can't do that with one that clips in your ear!!)

My wife bought me a cap that has two LED's mounted into the forward edge of the visor. The on/off switch is located on the adjustment buckle at the back of the hat. It can be turned on or off without removing the hat. Where the light strikes the ground can be easily adjusted by simply pulling the visor down or pushing it up. The LED's are so unobtrusive that I've never had anyone even ask about them in the daylight. I like it much better than a headlamp that fits around the forehead with a strap, as it is infinitely more comfortable. They also make a somewhat larger more "clunky" looking model that has four LED's and just attaches to any visor with two prongs that hold it onto the visor. It works fine but is not so elegant.
