Dropped on these two beauties today,
Large one to be trimmed, sliced and either dried or stewed tomorrow, the younger one to be tried raw and then sweated and eaten with a bit of garlic or just sweated in butter.....

Most people are disappointed. Too damned weird.

2012 has turned out to be quite a good year for this species.

Had the younger specimen lightly fried with breakfast this morning after soaking in milk for an hour or so. Definitely an aquired taste lol. Doing the older specimen as a late addition to a slow cooked stew after trimming and cubing.
