Open canoe overnighter

Hi Guys,

Taking the canoe up to the Lakes in a few weeks, any recomendations which lake is best for bushcrafting for good overnight stops to throw up the tarp, cook tea and fingers crossed watch the sun set. Sods law it will rain on my weekend off.

Have you tried the bloggs on SOTP yet ?

Without giving too much away, you can get away with the odd night on most of the lakes if your pick your site carefully and wait until the last of the hikers have come down off the hills.

Done plenty of wild camping on the tops, just wasn't sure on the rules at lake level.

Where did you end up wombat ? I drove through the lakes this weekend on my way to silloth saw a few canoes on the water , hope you didnt get to wet it rained quite a bit
