Some years back I found an Argos "tiger paws" tent for £3 in a local charity shop. Yes a bit like a coffin, but it has done me some good service in really bad weather. The trick for me is to use a small tent in combination with a tarp which can be used for general shelter.

In combination with the bivvy bag the Luxe Outdoor Silhexpeak V4a works very well. Usually I let the entrance open.
Kondensation is dropping on the natural ground.
It is a tarp in the cut of a pyramide tent.
Usually it stays open. If it is stormy you can close it.
In your corner you can keap the sleeping bag clean. Next to the door the dog can do, what he wants to. he is sitting and walking on natural ground.

With bivvy bag this tent fits well for me, I am 185cm tall.
It is offered a larger version too for people who are taller than me.

For moskito areas they offer the inner tents.

You can take the pole and pegs with you or take them from the forest.

It is a system where you play around as you like to.

Have a look at it !
With a dog it is a good option and it isn't to expensive.

It is light, but has not a to thin textile.

The outer tent alone is very light.

I would also say in favour of a one man tent, that it is warmer, in really bad weather, because there is less space to heat, on the other hand if you want the comforts of an airbed, or a cot, then that is out. Depends how many nights you are going to be away as well.

Something else would be the

Gatewood Cape.

330 g without pegs!

It is a Tent which you can wear as a rain coat. Made for persons up to 190 cm.
It is existing in green too.

You could combine it with the 340 g Snugpack Special Forces bivvy bag, and the orange Decathlon pegs, 5 pegs fir 7€, 6 are needed. 6x 9g are 54g for the pegs.

Altogether with Raincoat Tent, bivyy bag and pegs 724 g. !!!!!!!!!

You can construct it with a nature stick (ore a pole or a trekking pole). I think, it is possible to hang it under a tree or a washing line too.

That's really light weight going!

The Dog should fit in the corner too.

But as a poncho perhaps a bit to thin in the forest. If you stay on the ways by using it , it should be ok.

It is ultra light trekking material.

Not so expensive too.
