Hi.

I want to add some kydex to a 'taco' style kydex sheath, either two straps, for a sideways belt carry, and/or possibly modify a piece of kydex, so I can loop a leather dangler under it, and onto my belt, for a vertical hang.

Hope that makes sense!

Its a heavy, big 16" knife. Busse Bushwhacker mistress.

Anyway, Ive ordered some stuff Im not so sure about.

Firstly chicago screws. These dont seem too secure, for carrying that kind of weight?

Do I need bolts? What kind? Where from? Black ones preferably to fit into the 1/4" eyelets.

Thanks. Never worked with kydex before.

Chicago screws are good, just tighten them up with a screwdriver and a pair of vice grips, if you are still worried you can use some loc tite on the threads, you won't be able to undo them after that mind.
