Hello,

My wellies have finally perished and are beyond repair -

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for how I could recycle the material.

I was think a pouch for a fishing kit.

Anyone remember those survival kit pouches made from re-purposed rubber something or other.....the pouches were great

also if you cut out squares from it you could use them as kneel pads to put in the doubled up knee area of work trousers, or add straps to make shin protectors.
basically you can ake cheap leather copies of anything you want though it won't last as long.

There was an excellent article in Survival weaponary and Techniques magazine, about re using rubber, althgough it was rubber from tyres or a bike I think...trying to remember...
I seem to remember...

you could tack a row onto a broom to make squeegie.
use as a sort of binding to make a besom broom.
cut it in to tiny strips and use as good wet weather tinder.
cut out bespoke washers.

sorry, I don't remember the rest :(

John Fenna might know.
