Oak box

I know this is not Bushcraft related it's a box I made it has got a teak bottom and a Birch burl top.

Yes it is hollowed out Hamish it was done on a electric lathe.

That's lovely work. When we were kids, my brothers and I had wood turning lessons with a neighbour, using his electric lathe. So enjoyable. We didn't manage anything as nice as that though! Hope the lucky couple appreciated it.

What finish did you use?

Lovely that, very nice indeed. Log pile looks in very good shape too, log porn that.

The finish is friction polish and then a coat of bee's wax.

The log pile is in good shape but I'm not sure how long it will look like it.
