i lost my bait knife for chopping up mackys so i had a go at making one myself ! ( first ever attempt ) cut the blade from an old broken butchers knife with my Dremel, it's only 1.5mm thick stainless and paracord wrapped but it's VERY sharp and should do the job. Just right for slinging in the tackle box

As the title says, not pretty but my first and i'm chuffed

Mind you'll have to stick it in the dishwater after use or change the cord afore it reeks.

That looks rather useful .....second the cord needing scoured though.

There's stuff called polymorph, it's basically a plastic that melts in boiling water and can be shaped like plasticine. That'd make an easily cleaned handle that won't absorb water and rust away your knife. Just an idea.

looks good mate but i agree with the stink issue it may be worth having a go at wooden scales that should solve the issue
