Hi all, i finally got round to getting my knife set up the way i wanted,i have posted pictures up of it before but the sheaths were undyed. So now i have managed to get my finger out and dye the sheaths and put the whole lot together with the new carved firesteel.

Anyway i thought you might like a look.

i'm quite chuffed with the end result.

Very nice work. Great idea piggybacking the small knife onto the larger one. Like the fox too. :D

Cheers for the comments folks, i'm going to start a leather possibles pouch to match the sheaths,so they should all tie in nicely together.

Thats sweet man. Whats the larger of the knives? The fox head firesteel is awesome, never seen one like that. Did you carve it?

The knifes are a set that was a gift to my father while working in Sweden.

Wayland has a knife made by the same guy so he maybe able to shed some light on the maker. And yeah i did carved the firesteel handle myself.

I like your custom job a lot Stuart,
I always like to see standard products taken to a new level.
Can you tell me what wood you used for the fox head?

Surely, it was just a bit of old pine that was kicking about my shed floor,it was a spur of the moment thing when i made it. Next time i will think i will use Ash or some other type of wood.

Spur of the moment things can sometimes be the best things.
Cheers
