It was a quiet meet in many ways, with many absent freinds this time and dotted through the beautiful autumnal woodland
Saturday morning dawned clear and crisp, with the SSSI rhymed with a frost... gorgeous
There was lots of lovely leatherwork to drool over- here's Lee's ipad case/ stand. Very covertable
Just look at that tooling, inspired work as always!
There were some frozen folks clustered round the fire on saturday morning...
Here's some of the set ups- they looked so fine in the golden woods!
Someone hadn't done the washing up though
There's a wife somewhere scrubbing
Jimbos set up looked crisp....
And this is Dreadhead and Water Gypsys lovely laavu, which recieved a lot of admiring glances!
The farmer reuninted Lee with his Henri Lloyd cap which made his meet!
And some more set ups....
We even got a mini-bimble in...
Cliff's set up was suitably gorgeous, that man knows how to build and locate a woodlan pad!
Loving his biscuit box fire too
Note the pics- everyone brought wood in, cheers, gents!
I grinned at this table and thought of absent freinds again
And more set ups!
And even more...
They're sooo much tidier than mine!
Well, mostly...
Here's Karls....
And some purposeful looking wood collectors, most was brought in though. I think he was carrying round for the 'bush accesory' look really
Happy campers!
Then I went for a bimble to the Yew tree and found MORE set ups!
I nearly brought them back with me on the end of the ash branch I was dragging
Tarp fishing, surely it's not illegal....
There's some beaut fauna peeking out from under the dampness-
Sunday morning was a lot warmer... positively hotpants weather in localised areas
And the guys very kindly helped me to not only put up, but also collapse down and saw up my old tipi. It's the last outing for it as I need the space.... but a great chilled meet to say a fond farewell to some fun times in it
Thank you to everyone who comes along and pitches in, to Martin for stepping up to ensure the meet could go ahead and Steve especially for letting us carry on... you and Jase were mentioned often and were close in everyones thoughts xx
