Yesterday i recieved this in the post from over the pond.

Its made by Dylan Wanta (@wantaforge on Instagram)
Taking inspiration from Otzi's flint knife but made with modern material its a very light and nimble knife that feels "right" in the hand.
I haven't had a chance to do anything with it as yet but i am very much looking forward to playing with...... erm i mean using it.

I do need to make a sheath for it and at the moment i am just letting ideas bubble away in the back of my mind. I figure it should involve rawhide beings as he sent a big piece with the knife....

Nice! Very rustic looking, but I bet it performs well.
As yet it hasnt even cut a piece of paper but i am optimistic based on the feel in the hand
Looks great amigo.

I shall watch with interest to see what you come up with sheath-wise and also what great projects you whittle up with it.
I have some plans bubbling away in the old grey matter for sheath and projects

Nice looking tool.

Did you get hammered by customs?

I haven’t bought any blades from the states for a while.
This was a genuine gift (lucky me) not a fib on the customs sticker
So i avoided the customs fee
