This one went much better than the first stick I made. I've been working on the Ash shank for a few days on and off, scraping down the outer bark to the lovely dark inner and sorting out a few trouble spots. Well a few days ago I got the rest of the stick, an Oak lyre top and some horn pieces for a collar. Took me a couple of goes to get the 3 bits leveled up as I hadn't taken into account a small kick right at the top of the stick but after a recut of the shoulder everything went together nicely. I did most of the shaping of the lyre top before fitting, leaving enough to file down to a perfect fit once assembled. And here she is
