This is the pack I have now, my old 3 spears pack got lost moving house along with a lot of my gear so after seeing a few of the Guys pics, decided to go retro.
Swedish army, circa 1942, steel frame with leather straps.

Wattle, i got one from Genuinearmysurplus (no connection) think it was around 7 quid it is in very good condition only differance to hog's is mine is tan canvas not grey, ive just finished giving the leather straps a coat of warmed up lundhag leather proofing, i was out with it on saturday and the outside got covered in sleet and snow but everything inside stayed dry.
scallywag, they weigh id say around 3lbs ish not heavy really and surprisingly quite comfy they are around 35l in size with leather straps on the bottom which could hold a mat,or blanket etc.

This one I got from a well known auction site for about £20-00.
Weighs about 3lbs.
40 liters so its not massive but should do the job.

Mine was about £7 too, good condition,the photos look like an excellent model though.

Yes this one is in excellent condition, leather is stiff though, but some dubbin will sort that out though.
Would like to know what the letters are before the date stamp on the leather though.
