Decided to get a new mora and made a few little changes, belt loop, brass end cap, re-do handle and a little wolf paw acid etch. Still to add a ferro rod loop and it'll be good to go.

Quallity little knives that are so light in the hand. Scandi grind is wicked sharp too. But myself just sanding the handle.

Cheers

Cor, thats an improvement

I love my cheap little no1.......i'll have to whisper this so the logical part of my brain doesn't hear...I probably use it more than any other of my fixed blades

+1 to that, I have one on the shelf in the shed and use it all the time. Although I do have old faithful for in the field so to speak. Great mod mate

thats me added a little fero loop. Simple mod finished. Think this will replace my BK2 for a while. So light.

Much nicer and will replace my much more expensive and heavier bk2

I like that. Is that brass end loop thingumyjig something you've bought or made? And what did you do to the handle? Sand & stain?

Dave I'm on of these folk that keep random things in the shed "just incase". Drawers and boxes filled with bits and bobs. The end cap is made from a brass centre which attached an old rubber sink plug to it's chain. I just popped it off, little file work and the right sized drill bit for the handle. Sorted.

I tend to see uses in things that make my fiancé question my sanity.

As for the handle finish. I sanded it down to bare wood, and used wire wool to stain it and purposefully rubbed down the mid more with the wool. Letting more of the stain settle top/bottom. Then a good few melted bees wax layers using same method.
