Have you used them?

The handle of the 511, I think. Before they put the fingerguard on, that is. And that one is indeed quite comfy.

That looks nice, especially the pricetag that I like. Is it the blade of the 106 in a plastic handle?

I doubt it... if you look at this picture you can just see where the tang comes through the handle and is fixed in place with a roll pin

Whereas the tang on the plastic handle will most probably be something like this one

I was speaking to the guys at heinniehaynes yesterday and they confirmed the blade is indentical to the 106, but with a plastic handle. My guess is the tang is partial, and the handle is comfy in use. The Mora 510 has the same handle and it's pretty usable.

I'd still rather have the standard 106 though, and for some reason they aren't that cheap anymore..

Well if the blurb which says carbon steel blade is to be believed it is neither the Punch (stainless) nor the 106 (laminated) blade shape looks good for carving if you like the handle.

I was told by HH minutes after they were on the phone to their Mora suppliers, that the blades are the same. Now I'm curious to what blade is deffinately is..
