Hello all, I just wanted to say “hi” and introduce myself. I’m from SE Michigan in the USA. I live in a rural area and enjoy practicing woodscraft, camping and hunting. I have two daughters, the older of which enjoys the above outdoor activities as well. I’ve been an outdoorsman all my life but also enjoy a variety of pursuits such as cooking, brewing kombucha, and meat curing.

I came to join here because BCUSA has become too political and I don’t enjoy politics mixed with bushcraft. I hope to learn and share with you all.

We try to discourage conversations turning too political. There is enough scope for divisions over what knife grind you like, natural or synthetic fibre clothing, and whether bushcraft is just survival by another name, without bringing up politics!
