I have not owned a kuksa before, but ordered one recently and it arrived today. I bought it through Amazon, of all places, from the Nordic Art Store. This one was made in Estonia, and was actually shipped to me directly from that country. I am very happy with the craftsmanship and the price.
Anyway, it appears to have a light oil finish of some sort. What do you recommend doing to it, if anything, before pouring my first cup of coffee?
As for cleanup after use, I remember reading somewhere that these should be rinsed after use, but not washed with detergent. How do the rest of you manage routine cleaning of your kuksas?
Thank you very much!
Brent
