I'm very happy to be here. I do participate on a similar forum over here...BuscraftUSA. That and British Red had let me know about your very nice forum awhile ago.
I have been a preper in the past. I met British Red on a forum over here that some other prepers visit. British Red mostly participated in the "Blades, Gear, Tools and Kits" forum. He has been a very valued contributor to that forum.
I also collect vintage logging tools. My family hails from the north woods of Michigan. They settled there in the 1890's and the 160 acres they originally homesteaded there is still in the family. It is all wooded land these days. Thus my interest in the tools they used for there homes and their livelihood.
I collect one and two man crosscut saws, axes and all the other hand tools that loggers and homesteaders used to settle the north-woods of Wisconsin and Michigan (colonies to you).
I also have a soft spot for collecting fine knives. I mainly collect Bark River Knife & Tool fixed blade knifes and a few vintage Puma folders.
Other than I may talk rather funny to you, I hope that I will be able to learn and contribute to your forum.
My regards, Double Ott aka: Tom
