I'm very happy to be here. I do participate on a similar forum over here...BuscraftUSA. That and British Red had let me know about your very nice forum awhile ago.

I have been a preper in the past. I met British Red on a forum over here that some other prepers visit. British Red mostly participated in the "Blades, Gear, Tools and Kits" forum. He has been a very valued contributor to that forum.

I also collect vintage logging tools. My family hails from the north woods of Michigan. They settled there in the 1890's and the 160 acres they originally homesteaded there is still in the family. It is all wooded land these days. Thus my interest in the tools they used for there homes and their livelihood.

I collect one and two man crosscut saws, axes and all the other hand tools that loggers and homesteaders used to settle the north-woods of Wisconsin and Michigan (colonies to you).

I also have a soft spot for collecting fine knives. I mainly collect Bark River Knife & Tool fixed blade knifes and a few vintage Puma folders.

Other than I may talk rather funny to you, I hope that I will be able to learn and contribute to your forum.

My regards, Double Ott aka: Tom

Hello and welcome!
I too am a member of BcUSA :)
I was the first person to complete the Advanced Bushclass and also contribute to the odd thread "over there" ... as do a few of us "over here" :)

:welcome1:Welcome from Ohio. The people do many things different than we do and the language shift takes a bit of getting used to ( least for me it has)
Bushcraft UK has the same ethics and give information as freely as we do on BCUSA.
You are among family here.

Hi Fellow Bushcrafters, thank you so much for the great & warm welcome to the site. Christmas is a busy time of the year for family. So I'll be a little busy for awhile.
But I hope to catch up on the forum soon.

A very Merry Christmas to all of you & yours, Tom
