New cook kit needed. Advice please.

I'm looking for a new nesting cook set. Ideally with saucepan and lid, separate frying pan and kettle. I have titanium pans and kettle etc but was after a nesting set, any suggestions?

Normally just me but occasionally a friend will join me for an evening so 1-2 person set would do fine.

Easy to mod. for other fuels too.

+1 for the Trangia 27 if its for 1-2 person. You could get the non-stick set and will be much easier to cook/clean. Just dont use metal to stir etc.

Thanks for the opinions, looks like a trangia set is the way to go and as luck would have it you have reminded me that somewhere buried in my loft I have a barely used trangia 27 non stick.

for a solo cookset I just use a bcb crusader kit.

Douossal are bonded stainless and alu. The standard non stick are just alu. Its like chalk and cheese though. some rate them others dont. I went with standard non stick and theyve held up well

Must say that these don't look like Duossal to me - more like Hard Anodized. Duossal are silver coloured. I'd check before you buy.

Duossal is no longer made. I have the hard anodized 27 which is excellent but not cheap.

Agreed. The Duossal aren't coated, I have the 25. Also the ad talks about "light weight replacement for aluminium", which makes no sense as Duossal is heavier. Under 'features' it has what looks to me suspiciously like a lengthy Chinese to English translation of the word 'graduated'.

Exercise caution in your business affiars; for the world is full of trickery...

Go for the standard aluminium pans and learn how to cook, not a problem with food sticking then
