I've been busy in the shed again and knocked up one of these.

I used pretty much every power tool I possess as my aim was the finished article, not the journey. It was made from the remains of an old table.

It works, but I think the blade could be tighter, so I am going to experiment with the tension cord.

How is yours set up? What type of cord works best? One loop or more? And whats the best way to tie it so you don't have to wind it round twenty times?

Nice saw :)

The reason you had to wind it about 20 times is probably because it was stretching. Try using starter pull cord which has less stretch in it and you might find the tension is better.
