They look really impressive and although I'm more of a lightweight gear type I'd love to have one of them. I suppose if you look at how much cover it gives and the durability/ fire resistance then 2.5kg isn't sooo bad.

care to share the source of your coated poly?

It was from ukfabrics but we bought the last of it. I haven't been able to source anything like it anywhere else.
