Need some advise please

Hi everyone

I really want to get back into bushcraft and do some wild camping. One problem i have is none of my friends are interested in coming along, so i will have to go alone. This makes it harder to find a location to camp since i will be more selective of where i will want to stay on my own.

Secondly, i dont know of any locations where wild camping is tolerated or spots which are completely off the beaten track. I would be happy to drive to get to decents spots, but then i will also worry where is safe to leave my car for the night.

Any advise on this will be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

Why dont you camp in a secure site that allows fires? There are a few listed on here you should be able to find quiet spots and you would be legally allowed to camp..

Definitely go to one of the meets organised by BcUK members. Very friendly people with great advice. Yeah, some are barking mad, but they're generally OK. Avoid the ones John Fenna goes to as you'll be there in the same spot chatting all day :p
