Tone, I don't know whether it would be worth it, but there have been quite a few threads to do with Navigation and navigational equipment.

Would it be worth setting up an area that covers navigation on its own under general bushcraft, it could cover kit (GPS, Compasses, map datums, route cards and protractors), tips/tricks, the use of celestial bodies and peoples fortunes and misfortunes so that we may all learn from mistakes/good practice.

It's only a thought, but i wonder whether it would be worth it

I second that. I for one would be very interested in a navigation area ...

It would need to be well signposted for me to find it though
