Hi Everyone

Just wanted to express my joy in something i recieved through the post this morining.....

A handmade Nessmuk knife i had commissioned by Lance AKA Driftwood Walker

I am over the moon with it, it feels great in the hand and i can't wait to try it out.

A bit of techy info for you...

Blade: 12cm
Handle: 12.5cm
Pins: 6mm Mosaic
Lanyard: 6mm
Steel thickness: 3mm
steel type: 01
Fibre Liners: Red
Handle Material: Bethlehem Olive Wood (quite rare but Lance managed to get hold of some for me, and i think it looks stunning... I'm not religious but i am spritual so this si just something personal)

Anyone who wants to see what it looks like can go to Lance's site www.driftwoodwalker.co.uk and click n the Nessmuk link on the left hand side. The knife shown is mine, mine, mine!!

Lance has been a great help during the design of the knife and in producing it...

Some people have asked why i have chosen a Nessmuk kife and the simple answer is that i wanted one...
I have a collection but not a Nessmuk, until now.
It can be added to my custom Paul Harris Woodlore clone and Helle collection.

I'll have it the next time i see any of you at a meet

It is great mate...
You can get some real control over the blade.
It feels like a surgeons version of a chopping knife lol

You will have to have a play when I see ya...

Jaysurfer;
Hello, I too have a Nessmuk knife made by Mr C.T. Fischer of Elk City, Idaho, USA. It's dimensions are:
Overall Length: 9 1/2 inches
Blade Length: 4 inches
Thickness: 3/32 inches
Handle: Oak Dymondwood
Sheath: heavy leather
Weight: 6.2 oz
Blade: It's made from sawmill blades, similar to L6 steel.
Beautiful balance, holds a keen edge. The maker was great to deal with and the price was right. Chris's website is: http://www.ctfischerknives.com/nessmuk_style.htm. I am not related to him and have no interest in his business. I live on Vancouver Island in BC, Canada and have used the knife during the summer camping/fishing season and am now gearing up for the hunting season, it will be on my belt.
Regards
Ardri
