I like when a shirt has enough room under the arms so you can work and stretch without the risk of splitting a seam. Lovely work.

Nice bit of sewing John, I especially like the grandfather collar goodjob Any chance you can bring it with you for the OTS so I can have a look at it closer up?

As for your pics... My neck hurts looking at those pics on here so I copied them over from FB to save others folks getting a cricked neck :)

Dunno why the first one came smaller than the last 3 but it beats twisting your neck to look at them :dunno: :lmao:

My Granddaughter has just given me a very strange look because I picked the lap-top up and turned it on it's side.......

Thank you all :)
I cut my own patterns and rather than go for fashion or tradition I go for comfort and practicality.
This explains the buttonless "grandad" collar - it works but is comfortable without the button usually found on the stand - the loose body fit but tighter sleeves, the low but huge pockets - easy to access and lots of storage - and the half opening front -more wind resistance but lots of ventilation if I need it.
The fabric is "downproof" and meant for pillowcase and duvet linings but is comfortable next to the skin and pretty wind resistant.
I have made 2 shirts from this fabric and a tarp ... the tarp was proofed with Fabsil and has done me proud so far :)

Very nice, I have started using a gilet now the summer is finally fading but I always find the pockets are never the right size on the shop bought type with a few useless pockets thrown.

Yes, good work.

I like the gilet - thought about cutting down an old Barbour jacket just recently but decided that the body might be too long. Might follow your lead John.
