Last weekend I was out in the woods with a couple of mats and they "built" a tripod chair...
I use inverted commas as what they did with my cordage could not really be called knots!
So - I took the whole thing apart again and remade it with some decent knots
but I also adapted the design so that the "seat " side is not fixed and I can widen or narrow this side of the tripod to have it either as a support for my stretcher bed or as a chair, with various bits of wood resting on the arms, as and when each is needed.
