My gear and advice on improving it.

Hey! What items of kit should i get? My current gear is as follows;

Highlander proforce sleeping bag
Cheap foam bedroll
DD poncho
120 litre bergen
Highlander billy and pan set
Plastic crusader bottle with metal mug
100 metres paracord
Golok
Cheap hatchet
Mora clipper
Mora K J Eriksonn
Mora woodcarving knife
Leuko
Opinel No 7
Laplander saw
Cheap torch
Cheap poncho
DC3 stone
Bungees
Leather gloves
What else should i get?

Some type of Water filtration method? Milbank bag, inline filter etc.

i'd upgrade the sleeping mat. thats the one that would improve the experience most for me.

I don't usually take all that steal out usually the saw, clipper, leuko and opinel.

I have puritabs but never use em i just boil.

How often do you get out? Where do you go?

You dont need all that stuff at the same time, so a smaller/lighter pack?

2 or 3 overnights a week.

Where do you go? I hike out into the countryside and have a small wood i use, it's only 4 or 5 hectares but it's very remote.

You dont need all that stuff at the same time, so a smaller/lighter pack?

I have been looking into smaller vintage style packs but atm on day hikes, single overnights is use the side pouches or make a Hudson bay pack.

I aim to build a very good kit slowly so i'm after stuff that will take a beating so if it's quality gear i'm willing to pay what it's worth.

Not keen on hammocks tbh.
