my first wooden cup.

well id thought id have a go at making some sort of cup
im no carpenter/expert at these things,i just had a log,a chisel,a mora, a saw and a crook knife.I tried to acheive as round shape as i could but ended up with an oval one
so heres the log with the basic bowl being formed.

Well done! The first time I tried to make a cup it ended up looking rather more like some sort of plate/bowl type thing. It's harder than you'd think, as I'm sure you would now agree with!!

no actually it was my wrists,then i also realised i had no finger nails left after all the sanding...

ok heres a question.....
the kuksa,originated from cold weather climes,true?
so is this cup really designed for hot drinks?
ive used mine outside a few times now and the hot drink doesnt stay hot for long ive now gone back to using my metal army mug
so is the kuksas purpose intended for beer,spirits or other cold beverages?
