I keep seeing pics of kuksas so thought I'd give it a try. My first, made from birch.

My first try, and several other 'first tries' went straight in the woodburner, I'm jealous!

In theory yes, but it doesn't always work out that way. Many times the first try ends up being my best, with things going down hill from there, but I certainly hope not

My latest umpteenth try has all the promise of becoming a large handle-less spoon.
All it's Kuksa characteristics have gone following my excessive pruning!

Blimey, you must be chuffed to bits with them as a first attempt! Lovely shape to them, they just need a good mead/ whisky (or similar) stain now
