My Afternoon Walk

rancid badger

Bushcrafter (boy, I've got a lot to say!)
I was thinking about checking out Brockwell Woods but ran out of time :rolleyes: and ended up just tootling around Chopwell Wood with Mrs. Badger instead;

We set off from home and took our usual winter route across the hill

We do live, in what is still a nice little village;)

The entrance to the wood and the narrow road had unusually, been gritted;

The amount of tracks from walkers and bikers was surprising, though the wood still seemed almost deserted;

This was on the way home;

It's often, not till you get home and check out the photo's, that you appreciate the scale of places like Chopwell Wood, particularly when its on your doorstep:eek:

I took 120 pictures yesterday, so obviously this is just a snippet but I hope you enjoy anyway:)

all the best

Very nice,

I have been meaning to check out Chopwell for a while now but just haven't got around to it. Those photos sure make it look inviting.

Cheers

Great pics, looks really nice. I'll be straight out to my local woods when it snows, there's something magical and romantic about it, makes me want to stay out there and not come home, like that old canadian chap, Dick thingamejig. Don't think I'd last very long though.
