Music CD question

I've used a CD RW disc as my comp tells me, to burn some songs from Windows Media Player but there ain't any sound when I insert it into our stereo CD player. Any ideas guys?

I think windows media burns songs in WMA format as default and the format for a basic cd player is WAV. Try changing the format in the burn options.

I'm no techie with PC's and this is my best shot mate

What file format did you burn them as?
How new is the CD player? not all players will read CDR CDRW discs

Also make sure you "close" the cd after burning, if the CD isnt closed then a lot of player will not be happy. Also get your self a copy of Nero which makes things a lot easier.

The format for CD audio is .cda what kind of burning program are you using? CDburnerXP is a simple free program with a friendly user interface. Looky here http://cdburnerxp.se/
