This guy got pretty close to his limit (50 mullet per fisherman per day, or 100 per boat, whichever is less) in just minutes

Butterflying the mullet http://youtu.be/E9ib4_rErUA And here's the same guy smoking the mullet. http://youtu.be/LDhLLiQ3y7o He uses Everglades seasoning which is ok but not my favorite. I'd rather use Old Bay (a seasoning from the Chesapeake Bay area) or better still, a good Cajun seasoning.

Now here's a video showing how to fry it Southern style http://youtu.be/wvm--a9UmrE She's using both Old Bay and Cajun seasonings (the Cajun seasoning is in the Zataran's coating mix which is nothing more than a dry mix of corn meal, flour, and a Cajun seasoning)

Ha-ha Santaman, good video though I was expecting something like this, what with the US being the last resting place of the Mullet:eek:...

LOL. Give me a few minutes and I'll edit the OP to add a couple of videos on cleaning and cooking mullet as well.

When we lived in Adelaide there was always Mullet in the sea. Casting off the beech daily and fresh fish to eat every time.
Lovely eating fish.
