Mosaic Pins

I wanted to use mosaic pins on my next project but can't justify the cost of buying them.

Anyone on here got any experience making their own? I was looking at youtube but can't seem to find a decent way to get the resin into the tube.

Morning. I found that mixing resin with a coloured poster paint produces a nice finish and I use a small chips syringe one you get with a medicine bottle fill said syringe with mixture and inject into tube, could also superglue the smaller bits together first then insert into tube and then fill in with resin. Well this is how I do it sometimes a little messy but good results

and how did the cost of materials work out against buying the pins already made?

I have a local model shop that all you could ever want but by the time you buy and make etc I don't think it's any cheaper but it's the fact you made them etc will see what is left and post pics later
