hi guys went to carboot today my finds= berghaus cyclops centurion rucksack in dpm, £3.50=olive poncho,£2.00=axe,£1.00=hacksaw,50p=black ink for my printer,50p=10 1mm drill bits,50p=ikea utensils tin,50p not bad for a morning :sadwavey:

I got a billy with fryinpan lid for £1 a couple of hatchets for £2 and a good axe for £5

a bit much for a car boot axe, but it has a blacksmith made head and the half is good

I picked up a couple of small hammers for £2.00.
I had to say no to an axe that was real nice but £6.00.
But yesterday I got myself a nice Cornelius Whitehouse axe and a heavy hammer to use for blacksmithing £3.00.

Went off to one with high expectations and had my hopes dashed. Twas crap.
The published bootfair book listed it as having 100 sellers but there must have been only 50 and most of those were selling stuff at stupid prices. Saw a drawknife up for €30!! (£26) Someting tells me they took it home with them.

Most old tool stalls had things on there that were just blobs of rust that once looked like an axe head or hammer head, they were too far gone beyond salvaging. I asked out of curiosity and hearing €5 made me drop the tool in sheer disgust. The only thing I did find was a hand plough (gardening tool) for my mate in the UK who's had me look out for one for him for the past year, finally nabbed one for €4.

Came away feeling cheated that I didn't nab anything for myself. I'm sure you know the feeling.

Dave, you certainly hit the jackpot there mate, well done!

I went on Monday to a local one, The first i've been to in months due to a knee replacement!!

Prizes include this X/Y vice..

An attachment for the strimmer for cutting hedges! (Been after one for over a year!!)..

Fireaxe and a set of tongs..

Also bought a spare internal filter for my aquarium but didn't take a pic!!
