Hi,
Was just wondering if anyone knows of any places in the Weymouth area of Dorset where im likely to find cokles or mussels (alive, alive oh!!). Have spent the last few weekends scouring a couple of beaches and have found nothing but limpets :(. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Limpets are nice!! They just have to be cooked right. I get them to stick themselves to a metal pan or spade and them put them on a fire. When they stop sticking and just start to sizzle a little around the edge remove from heat. Allow to cool slightly and then remove shell and blackhead and eat or add to allready cooked sauce. i don't know your area but mature mussle beds are normally a little further out than limpets, but should be in the same area.
