For years my house shoes have been a pair of elk skin moccasins, with double hide soles. After about 10 years the outer sole is worn through in places. I bought a replacement pair for inside sadly not the same quality as I was able to buy 10 years ago.
I am torn between taking the old pair apart to make patterns (I do leatherwork and can hand/saddle stitch) or adding a third outer sole (maybe to give them prolonged light outdoor use?
I would be interested in any advice from all the collective experience on here
