Can anyone help? Last year I saw a link to a website which showed reported sitings of red signals. The sie used the latin name and diplayed a map. I have tried in vain to find this site any ideas?

This link may help, it lists all of the postcodes where the red signal can be kept without a license. This is due to the watercourses in the area's already containg signals. so would provide a good idea of which regions they can be found in...
This must mean they haven't made it up to Sheffield and Barnsley area yet. I have my paperwork ready to go though, just in case the invader makes a big push North!
I also thought it was going to be about closer evolutionary links between
people and crayfish
Anyway, I googled for red signal and - to cut a long story short - I think
the Latin name is spelled Pacifastacus leniusculus, if the red signal is
the same as the American one.
The home page is: http://www.searchnbn.net/index_homepage/index.jsp
"The National Biodiversity Network allows you to view distribution maps and
download UK wildlife data by using a variety of interactive tools. It is completely
dependent on the data providers."
Many thanks Jodie that was exactly the link I was searching for. Now all I need is time to get out and catch, Ithink I`ll be trying the washing tablet bag with bait inside method.
