Micarta handles

Now then, im rehandling an Enzo Elver with linen micarta.
Can anyone tell me the best way of finishing it. I could leave it in a just sanded finish or on the WS Woodlore i have it appears to have been sealed with something but with what i dont know.

Please help as i have no idea where to go next.

Simply add a nice diamond chequering pattern and leave unsealed.

If its unsealed will there be issues with water soaking into it..

finish it to the highest grit possible mate, and add a tiny layer of linseed oil, let it absorb slightly and then wipe off.,
this should give you the finnish you so desire.

Well just been going through the grits. Lots of work left to do but getting there.
