Metal taste in kelly kettle

Hi All

I am racking my brains here, I'v had a kelly kettle now for quite a while and even though its been used numerous times I still get a slight taste of metal in my brew.

Has anyone else experienced this and any ideas how to get rid of it.

Bicarbonate of soda.

or vinegar

Never had that and my first one has had a couple of years of hard use.

I'd used bicarb for loads of stuff and it usually works.

Another one that is quite good is toothpaste.Perhaps because of the Bicarb again.
